Winterlude in Ottawa PLUS celebrating Chico and Steve's Birthday

The past weekend was spent in Ottawa, at Steve & Noreen's place. There were 8 of us who took a roadtrip to Winterlude '06. Fortunately, the weather was cold enough for the Canal to freeze over, and in true fashion, lots of good food was involved!
Another reason for our gathering was to celebrate bdays in February - after many emails flying around, things went off as planned - S had no idea we were arriving till his doorbell rang at 11:30pm (Friday), and C was anticipating poutine for dinner, but rather we had a wonderful meal at Hy's Steakhouse (Saturday).
All in all, it was a weekend filled with relaxation and fun times.

As to not disappoint hubby...on Sunday, we drove to Gatineau for poutine.

Word of advice: always sleep with one eye open 'cuz you never know what can happen!

Before heading back home, we stopped off in K-town to have dinner with Janice and Dan. Unfortunately, Ev wasn't able to join us, due to prior commitments, but thanks for organizing.
